- 'GHS tennis squad looks ahead to spring season (Hood County News)The fall team tennis season is over for the granbury varsity squad. Now they turn their attention to the spring. After back-to-back successful team tennis seasons, the Pirates succumbed to injuries and inexperience this season, finishing 5-10 overall and 2-5 in District 4-5A.
'William L. Ellis (Bandera Bulletin)William L. "Bill" Ellis, known fondly to many as Mr. Bill or Wild Bill, was taken into the arms of the Lord Oct. 6, 2005, at the age of 87. He was born July 21, 1918, in granbury to Ora Ellen Locklin and Charles William Ellis.
