'Mary Martha Marler Bates (Hood County News)A memorial service for Mary Martha Marler Bates, 73, of Livingston and former longtime granbury resident, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005 at the First Presbyterian Church in granbury.

A Hood County jury announced the sentence early Wednesday evening after hearing testimony all day Tuesday and continuing Wednesday morning.

'It's official: Ags ink Papasan (Hood County News)Nick Papasan is now an Aggie. Well, almost. The granbury senior shortstop signed a letter-of-intent recently to play for Texas A&M next season. He had verbally committed in August.
