'City to buy Opera House (Hood County News)The granbury City Council voted Tuesday night to lease and eventually purchase the granbury Opera House properties. The council authorized mayor David Southern to negotiate a contract with the Opera Association Board to acquire their properties as presented to the council in a meeting two weeks ago.
'Lady Pirates hold off Krum (Hood County News)Last season the granbury Lady Pirates lost many close games on their way to a 13-18 record. One of those losses was at Krum early in the season. Sophomore guard Micalyn Slemmons, for one, is using those close losses to help the Lady Pirates try and turn things around this season.

'Granbury teams sweep swim meet (Hood County News)The Granbury swim team swept both of its matches Thursday in a tri-meet at the Wilkerson-Greines pool in Fort Worth. The Lady Pirates had a closer match than the boys, scoring 200 points to 186 for District 4-5A foe Paschal and 18 for Arlington Heights.
'Agnes Marrs (Hood County News)Agnes Marrs, 91 of Goldthwaite, and sister of Ruth Rogers of Granbury, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005 in Goldthwaite. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today (Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005) at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery.
