'City to buy Opera House (Hood County News)The Granbury City Council voted Tuesday night to lease and eventually purchase the Granbury Opera House properties. The council authorized mayor David Southern to negotiate a contract with the Opera Association Board to acquire their properties as presented to the council in a meeting two weeks ago.

'Lady Pirates hold off Krum (Hood County News)Last season the Granbury Lady Pirates lost many close games on their way to a 13-18 record. One of those losses was at Krum early in the season. Sophomore guard Micalyn Slemmons, for one, is using those close losses to help the Lady Pirates try and turn things around this season.
'Lady Pirate golfers wrap up fall play (Hood County News)The Granbury Lady Pirate golf team wrapped up its fall season with an 11th-place finish in the Ennis She-Lion tournament. The Lady Pirates shot a two-day total of 768 on the Ennis Country Club course. They shot 393 the first day and improved to 375 the second.
