    'Beall's moving west to new site (Hood County News)Beall?s Department Store is moving west to the planned Shops of granbury shopping center just west of Home Depot on the 377 bypass. According to Beall?s granbury store manager Gary Pederson, the new store will be about double the size of the current store at Texana Plaza.

    'Lady Pirates thump Burleson for 20th win (Hood County News)The granbury Lady Pirates got their first victory of 2006 Friday night, and not a moment too soon. The Lady Pirates ended a three-game losing streak by blasting Burleson 68-42 at the James Wann Sports Center. It was their first victory since winning at Rio Vista in a nondistrict game on Dec. 30.

    'Edgar E. Duncan (Hood County News)The father of Connie Jo Duncan of Granbury, Edgar E. Duncan, 91, of Hamlin, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006 in Fort Worth. Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006 in Hamlin. Burial was in Hamlin Memorial Cemetery.
