'Ned Leon Follis (Hood County News)Graveside and memorial services for Ned Leon Follis, 58, of Granbury and formerly of Abilene, where held Wednesday in Abilene. Follis, a former Abilene teacher, passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2006, in Granbury, where he had lived since 2003.
'Virginia Dale Welker Coker (Hood County News)Final rites for Virginia Dale Welker Coker, 73, of Granbury, were held Monday at Acton United Methodist Church in Acton. Burial was at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery in De Soto.

'Council will consider electric rate increase (Hood County News)The Granbury City Council tonight (Tuesday) will consider raising the city?s electric rates. While other utility providers already have increased rates as much as 40 to 50 percent, mayor David Southern said the city-provided electricity has not increased in cost at all.
'DPS divers search for murder weapon (Hood County News)Look in the lake, the murder suspect told authorities. Steven Edwin Stembridge, 20, of Granbury, told authorities he threw a gun off the Pearl Street bridge early Saturday morning, Feb. 11 after he shot and killed 23-year-old David Thomas Schermer, also of Granbury.
