'Corinne Sherry (Hood County News)Corinne Sherry, 85, of Arlington and formerly of granbury, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2006, in Arlington. Memorial service is at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 5, 2006) at St. Andrews United Methodist in Arlington.

'Former church popular (Hood County News)That supposedly excess property, the old Methodist Church on the square, is becoming a much sought-after facility. Three different groups appeared before the Granbury School Board Monday night seeking to lease the school-owned property.

'John D. Treadway (Hood County News)Funeral services for John D. Treadway, 79, of Granbury were at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2006 in Greenwood Chapel in Fort Worth. Masonic graveside service by the Granbury Masonic Lodge 392 was held at noon in Holly Hills Memorial Park.

'David E. Duke (Hood County News)David E. Duke, 64, of Granbury passed away Saturday, April 1, 2006. A private memorial service will be held later in Mt. Pleasant. He was born Dec. 20, 1941 in Granbury, the son of Albert and Sue Gunn. He was a member of the Church of Christ and worked as a meat supervisor.

'Shirley Champion Doak (Hood County News)Memorial services for Shirley Doak will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2006 at Acton United Methodist Church in Acton. The Granbury resident passed away in Canyon March 31, 2006.

'Apton "A.J." Miller (Hood County News)Funeral services for Apton ?A.J.? Miller, 48, of Granbury, was held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2006 at Lake Granbury Christian Temple. Burial was in Holly Hills Memorial Park.

'Individual competitors who placed in the meet are: (Hood County News)For the second consecutive year Granbury High School?s accounting team swept the UIL district 4-5A competition Saturday in Mansfield. Members of this year?s winning team are Phil Lightfoot, Sung Kim, and Eric Hutchison.
